Spring Member Meeting March 1

Please join your lake neighbors on Thursday, March 1 at 7pm for the Lake Johanna Improvement Society annual member meeting.

We're excited that author and journalist Greg Breining has agreed to speak! Greg will talk about the problems road salt poses for our waterways and what communities and individuals can do to lessen the problem. Breining recently wrote about the issue  for Ensia, an environmental magazine published by the University of Minnesota Institute on the Environment. He has written about science, travel, medicine and nature for The New York Times, National Wildlife, Sports Illustrated, Living Bird, and other publications. His books include Wild Shore: Exploring Lake Superior by Kayak; Super Volcano: The Ticking Time Bomb Beneath Yellowstone National Park; Paddle North: Canoeing the Boundary Waters–Quetico Wilderness;and A Hard-Water World: Ice Fishing and Why We Do It.

When: Thursday, 3/1/2018, 7:00pm

Where: Johanna Shores Presbyterian Homes Fellowship Room, 3220 Lake Johanna Blvd, (use the north Care Center entrance between the old and new buildings).

Agenda: Brief business meeting (board member elections, dues collection, any other necessary business), followed by Greg Breining's presentation.
