No Wake status

Thank you to everyone for honoring the no-wake while the water level was high.

At this time, the water continues to recede. The weir structure by the public beach has performed its function by slowly draining the water into the Rice Creek wetlands to the north.

The Sheriff Water Patrol was not able to be as engaged in helping with the requirement and enforcement of the need for a temporary no-wake. There is some confusion as to who has the authority (typically we worked with the DNR, which was shut down). We will work with the Water Patrol as well as the DNR for the appropriate protocol to ensure specific and immediate action will take place the next time this situation occurs.

Please be careful of the debris in the lake and continue to follow the safety rules – as well as common sense.

If you see any safety issues or need to report violations, contact the Ramsey County Water Patrol: 651-484-3366
