It's never too early to begin planning your entry for the Lake Johanna 4th of July Boat Parade! This is one of the perennial favorite community events on our beautiful lake. Please join the fun by gathering near Tony Schmidt Beach around 10:45 AM Monday morning July 4th. The boat parade will begin at 11:00 am. Be creative and decorate your watercraft!

Spectators are encouraged on docks and shore with flags and cheers.

Pontoon wanted
Warren Wildes, one of our LJIS Board Members, traditionally plays his trumpet on his boat during the parade. This year, Warren is hosting a family reunion on the 4th, and would love to bring a bunch of his family on a pontoon in the parade.

If you have a pontoon boat that you would be willing to lend to Warren for the parade, please contact him at wildeswarren7@gmail.com or 612-720-4838.

Have a great holiday!
